About Me

From a quick, cursory glance, I am a single mother of one, full-time employee, church pianist, preschool Sunday school teacher, children’s mission coordinator, gym-goer, daydreamer, and responsibility-driven pleaser. But those are all things I do, not who I am. At my core I am simply me – a woman on a journey to create my niche while trying to live God’s purpose in my life and come closer to Him each day. (Perhaps those are one in the same. Hmmmm.)This blog is merely a platform where I can explore the voice in my head, practice a skill, and research if the lessons God is teaching me are solely for my benefit or are intended, as I suspect, to be shared.

I write to clear my head. I write to sort out the myriad of distractions that can steal my peace as I aspire towards God’s greatness for my life. Some days I’ll share devotions. Other days I’ll simply share the thoughts I’m contemplating that day. My goal is to post about once a week.

I welcome constructive comments. The thoughts contained on this site are simply my perspective on what I’m learning along the way. I encourage you to point out discrepancies between my views and Truth as revealed in Scripture.  I believe that the Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant Word. It is by this book alone that I am learning to measure my actions, thoughts, and words. While literature and the great minds of others can offer insight and direction, the Bible is my ultimate rule book and standard.

Thank you for taking the time to share my journey. Perhaps some of the markers God is revealing in my life will assist you in your journey as well.

Awesome site, Traci. I found it while going through Bethany’s Facebook (she friended you recently) and I just couldn’t stop reading it! You are definitely an inspired and gifted writer, and the Lord is using these gifts for his Kingdom. I’m passing your website along to others.
